| Welcome to the Ashcan Theatre Company website. We are
East Kent’s premier small-scale theatre company. Founded in 2002
(see Brief History page for more detail) we
aim to produce challenging, small cast, contemporary theatre with the
highest possible standards of acting, direction and staging possible in
intimate venues.
LATEST NEWS: After the highly acclaimed success of our
first Cafe Theatre venture at The Farmhouse, Canterbury (see Review),
we can announce a swift return to this exciting new venue early in the
New Year. In conjunction with the owners of The Farmhouse we hope to stage
regular Cafe Theatre evenings during the coming year, offering a delicious
combination of high-class dining with excellent entertaining theatre in
an intimate setting. We look forward to seeing you at our next show (see

NEXT PRODUCTION: Ashcan Theatre will
be performing David Mamet’s quirky comedy “Duck Variations”
at The Farmhouse, Dover St, Canterbury, CT1 3HD on Mon February 22nd –
Wed Feb 24th. Doors open at 19.00hrs. The performance will begin around
21.15hrs. Seating will again be limited, so pre-booking of tables is essential.
The all-in price of £16.00 covers the cost of a two course meal
